Opinion: Traditional Asian, Indian cultures contribute to stigmatization of mental illness

K-Pop superstar Kim Jong-hyun’s suicide last December sent ripples of shock through Korea and the rest of the world. In his suicide note, he wrote that his doctor had blamed his personality for his depression, allegedly telling Jong-hyun that his depression was “all his fault and all because he was lacking.”
