Will Butler

William Butler, a rising junior at Summit Public Schools Tahoma, has lived in more cities than the average person has traveled to. He was adopted from Guatemala City, Guatemala. Since moving to the United States, he has lived in San Diego, Palo Alto, Tucson and San Jose. He plays center field on his baseball team and co-founded a gaming club at his high school. Will cites English and math as his two favorite subjects. While in Mexico, he explored the country’s “old mex” culture by traveling to various museums and restaurants. He also traveled to a forest in the eastern part of Mexico, far away from the big cities. When asked about his biggest inspiration in life, Will cited his mother as someone who pushed him to try new activities, cheered him on at sporting events, and encouraged him to work hard in school. Will is thinking of pursuing journalism in college and possibly playing baseball there as well.
